In the workshop we’ll focus on the work of illustration for children’s publishing houses, a sector with great demand of artists and good opportunities for all lovers of illustration who seek to professionalize themselves. Although it shares the bases and concepts of other fields, the children’s editorial illustration has its own particularities and keys. During the workshop, we will approach all aspects that lead to the final goal, from the fundamental concepts (like color, composition, stroke, reading levels) through the technique (tools, brushes, work order) up to more prosaic issues (work organisation, corrections, approach). The workshop has a practical purpose. So, without neglecting the basic concepts, we’ll work on real briefing of children’s publishing houses, developing the commission from its first phases to the final.
